Forex Bling Expert Advisors Review
by admin on 12/08/09 at 6:40 am
We test our expert advisors and trading systems. It’s now part of Forex Bling Program.
They must have a good money management and a balance between risk and reward.
Our purpose is to have ongoing basket of trading systems that produce consistent 60%-100% profit per year while maintain Minimal Risk.
We do not make aggressive trades which could ruin our capital. Most of the trading systems that we run are set to 1%-3% risk per trade.
To distribute/spread the risk; we divide our trading basket into several trading strategies: Trend following, Breakout system, Scalping technique, Grid Strategy.
Each strategy has pro and cons. We stay away from Martingale strategy for now.

Why not create an EA which can trade in 3 market conditions ? Breakout, trending and choppy ?

Hello Khairul.
I used to create an EA that prepare in 3 market conditions, like PB or DTS, but they need a sufficient margin to sustain the temporary drawdown.
This is my new approach to create simpler and profitable trading system, by developing several EAs that work in specific market condition.
Off course, I can combine these 3 EA like you suggested (breakout, trending and sideways) into 1 EA, but it will add complexity into the program itself.
My plan is to break it into simpler function that work separately, but anyway this is a new project, so our approach may change in the future.
Mario, I will create a new section in this website about our basket.
Our plan is to create several baskets which each basket is a combination of several EA’s running into it.
It’s like a portfolio management or funds management.
I will publish the settings that I used for each EA’s.

Hi Lin,
How are you? Are you selling your new EA ok? I still don’t see your EA on Clickbank. That is a pity. Since you seem very busy, why don’t you having someone else set up the sale page on Clickbank? That should make your life easier. Fapturbo and other trading systems are still selling quite well on my blog as it gets 800-1000 visitors a day. Some of the visitors to my blog have already asked me about your EAs.

Hello,
I’m really interested in Thuderbolt2 (GBP/USD, EUR/USD) and Thunderstorm (EUR/GBP, EUR/CHF)
When will you be releasing these for sale, and what will be the price?
What is the max spread for these EA’s to work effectively?
Does it have a built in spread filter, and what sort indicators does it use?
Anything else you can tell me about your EA’s would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Aran

Great job. I applaud you for sharing your great research so others may earn money against the big boys. I await your release of your EA to the public.
However a EA is only as good as the broker you are dealing with. You seemed to favor Alpari UK. Although most information on Alpari UK is positive, What is your opinion on the ECN group which recently moved operations acrossed the ocean?
Kind regards,
Randy

Our EA can work with many forex broker. We use 1 broker just to show the difference those EAs running at the same broker ( (we choose Alpari for our forward test). Actually our scalping EA also works best at broker that have fixed spread like FXOpen.

i purchased forest bling.
how i will know it is doing any trading…i do not see any trading going on on the screen… just chart is moving….
please help . I am a bignner in using your system. I have ALPARI US account.
what “use MT4 Folder below ” parameter means?
Gagahlin
Sep 14th, 2009
Hello Saurabh,
Downlod, unzip the file then replace all old files with the files (the EA, indicators and DLL).
First, you need to install your MT4 folder OUTSIDE Windows Program Files or Document and Settings folder.
You can install at new directory
i.e: C:\MT4\Your MT4 folder\
Then you need to take attention to two new parameters:
Use_MT4Folder_Below
Your_MT4_Folder
Use_MT4Folder_Below set to TRUE then Fill Your_MT4_Folder with your current MT4_Folder.
It should be something like C:\MT4\Metatrader 4 Alpari UK
You need to input the folder location without ” ” sign.
This is correct: C:\MT4\Metatrader 4 Alpari UK
This is NOT correct: ” C:\MT4\Metatrader 4 Alpari UK” => do not include ” ” in the folder location
This is NOT correct: C:\MT4\Metatrader 4 Alpari UK\terminal.exe => do not include terminal.exe

Hi
Is there a way to move the Metatrader 4 FXDD out of the Program Files directory instead of reinstalling. I don’t want to lose all of the charts, templates, settings I have established already.

Hi,
I am getting nice results with forex bling. The only problem is that the default stop limit and take profit of evolution and freedom is too great. Evolution takes profit at 300 pips and freedom at 200 which i think is too great at current market conditions. The market always reverses before even half the limit is reached and if i am not careful this can turn into loses even after having gained about a 100 pips. Can i change the this SL and TP settings in evolution and freedom.
Thank you.

ThunderBolt and ThunderStorm seem to have good forward-test results.
How much does each one cost?
Gagahlin
Sep 15th, 2009
Hello Tej,
The take profit at Evolution and Freedom is a hard take profit (where anyone can see), but inside the EA we also have stealth mode take profit. So it doesn’t mean that the EA will wait until the hard take profit hit before close the order.

Sep 15th, 2009
Halo Ed,
You can copy your MT4 folder to a new directory. In this way, you can keep all files. In the new folder you just add a new shortcut from terminal.exe to your windows dekstop.

Hi,
It would be nice to have a separate setup for breakout and scalp strategy inside the Fractal Wizard EA. I would like to switch on/off them separately with different risk settings.
Would you consider this change?

Hi,
Noticed that the live stats for Thunderbolt EA has stopped on 21Sep09. Any reason why the stats are no longer updating?
The records for the other EA’s are updated. though.

Sep 24th, 2009
Hello Dennis,
It’s updated now. Start trading again on Sept 24, 2009. At Sept 23, we turn-off the EA because there was an FOMC meeting on that day and the rate decision could cause the pairs to be too volatile to trade.

Admin,
I set the thunderbolt EA stop trading setting not to trade on today or on the day US FED Rate is released and the EA traded anyway causing me a loss. Your EA was working good until this point, please check the stop trading setting and make sure it works.
Dennis
Sep 24th, 2009
Hi Gagahlin,
No wonder your thunderbolt was not stopped out on evening of FOMC meeting. Looks like live forward test results still do have a certain degree of manual intervention. For benefit of all users (current and potential), could you help clarifiy:
- How often do you manually intervene for each of the EA’s listed above?
- Will ou be advising users which EA’s you are switching off/on in advance? This will better enable us to compare our results with those shown in this website

Hi Gagahlin,
Would you recommend stopping the scalpers on high impact news days that might affect their performance ?
As Dennis requested could you give some detail ?
Can you give some examples of news that we should be careful of on the USD and GBP pairs ? Can we ignore these high impact news events except say FOMC / BOE / NFP announcements / reports ?
It seems there are many big impact news events on GBP next week for example, would you suggest we turn off GBP pair next week to avoid a potential loss or can the algorithm withstand most news events without issues and break even ?
Thanks
Ian

Hi forexBling Team,
I have tried many other EAs on the market this year, some did well, others are scam. and no support at all on any of them. But I bought forexbling because is a subscription base, hoping that you guys would keep it profitable and uptodate when market conditions change and have better support for members when requested and you should get paid for it.
I think is a good Idea that you stop the EAs from trading on big news days from your server as many members may not be familiar when sensitive events may occur due to difference in timezones. particularly, news from America., and like myself, I don’t know much of what is going on in America that may affect the EAs performance on a specific date. Please keep the subscription numbers low.
I am happy to pay the quarterly subscription for your extra bit of work.
Thanks
Gagahlin
Sep 28th, 2009
Hello Ian.
I will give more details later. I still have a lot of work to do this week, we are preparing to launch Evolution-2 and Thunderstorm.
Also writing a report:Forex Bling test on 25 brokers.
Usually I more concern with high impact news that happen in US market trading session, since the Thunderbolt trades after US market close.
If you want to add the scalping EA GBPUSD pair, use risk smaller than EURUSD. Because if you see our forward test, GBPUSD is not as good as EURUSD.
If you want to diversify; also consider to add scalping currency pairs EURGBP & EURCHF using Thunderstorm EA.
Anyway the loss caused by the FED release has been recovered today if you use our recommended setting, see statement report below (from our test on CollectiveFX):
http://www.forexhope.com/mt4/report/Bling-CollectiveFX.htm

Sep 28th, 2009
Hello Lesly,
I already answered this with our newsletter. I prefer not to trade our scalping EA on the day a major news released; i.e. FED rate release, NFP report, etc.
If you trade using a real money, and you know that during that day the market can be very volatile (like FED release several days ago, FOMC meeting, NFP report):
You should stop the EA from working. (not just Thunderbolt EA but any scalping EA that you may use right now).
=> Don’t take an unnecessary risks of your money.
Anyway, if you run Forex Bling using our predefined setting at ForexBling-BrokerCheck section, the loss should be recovered today.
See our result from CollectiveFX broker below:
http://www.forexhope.com/mt4/report/Bling-CollectiveFX.htm

i agree with poster above. instead of having customers deal with the days/times to not trade just either hard code the days into the EAs or have them check your servers. servers checks would be more responsive to unscheduled or breaking news in the event of a world event. this would be the best most idiot proof way
i trust Lin’s judgment on when i should not trade his software
news avoidance should be a high priority feature.

Hi Gagahlin,
1. will you recommend we use VPS so that we can run the EA 24 hour all the time?
2. So far from your experience, which VPS is the most reliable?
3. Or what is the best way to run the EA for 24 hour all the time because connection in our own home may be can not achieve 100%?
Thanks

Hi,
For Fractals 4, does anyone know how to only allow the EA to trade the low volatility system? The high volatility system has been causing quite a few losses so I was hoping to switch it off, if possible
Appreciate any advise

Hi Gagahlin,
The above discussion about turning various EAs off when market conditions indicate they should be turned off is a great idea.
It would help fulfill what your sales letter promises when it says…
“You do not have to do absolutely anything other than turn on your computer on, connect to the internet and run the software.”
When do you plan to implement this?
Danny
Oct 1st, 2009
Hi Gagahlin,
Great to know that you will have update for Fractals 4 to switch on/off Low Volatility or High Volatilty. Would you also be able to address of risk parameters for each system?
Currently:
- High Volatility System is controlled by Risk parameter. (i.e. percentage of equity to risk per trade). Would be great if you can offer option to use fixed lot sizes defined by user.
- Low Volatility System controlled by the Aggressiveness Parameter. However, I’m not sure how the Aggressive setting translates to lot size and risk per trade?
- Might want to have a separate Risk setting for Low Volatility System and a fixed lot size option as well
Hope you can consider my feedback for future updates to Fractals 4

Hi Gagahlin,
EA is not a turn on and leave it if you are turning it off during certain trade times. I don’t mind turning it off, but it would be helpful to know when you are turning it off. And easy start to that is to have a place in your Member’s area or on you Blog area that just shows us the days of the current week that you are not going to trade certain EA’s so we can turn them off when you have them off. That would be very easy to do to just keep us informed by blog or member area when you are turning the ea’s off. You mentioned that you were going to do this—when will this be implemented?
Thanks

I would like to use Bling on more than one demo account for testing different brokers.
Although using the correct registeredAccountNumber I get many times a day Error connecting to server messages
Is this a server problem or is it a problem with more than one demo using same key?
Is the EA than not working in case of that error?
Does anyone else have this problems?

Maybe it is simply the weekend and they have familes to attend to? Seriously, they have a great product but I’ve noticed everyone has an opinion when it comes to EA. They want to add an indicator here or a MA there to “filter” out more of the bad trades. This is needless meddling. This stuff works – if u let it. Of course you will get bad trades on occasion and as far as breakouts are concerned, you will get many. The key is not to risk so much and hope to catch the big ones with the trailing stop. Besides, FX Bling has an EA for every market condition. You can simply copy their basket settings to get their results.
Happy Trading

One low risk basic trading system I do miss in your EAs-collection. It is the pair-trading strategy. Is there a reason you did not implement it yet?
